Dr. Brad Snyder is fellowship trained in laparoendoscopic general surgery. While interested in general surgery, his primary focus is minimally invasive bariatric surgery.
Dr. Snyder attended the University of New Orleans, Louisiana, and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences. He earned his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Snyder was a resident in general surgery at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. From there he relocated to Houston for his fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth).
In 2008, Dr. Snyder began his career with UTHealth as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and is now an Associate Professor of Surgery and the Director of Clinical Research for the Minimally Invasive Surgeons of Texas (MIST).
Dr. Snyder is board certified with the American Board of Surgery and Fellow at the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is a member of numerous regional, national, and international professional organizations. His interests focus on integrating new technology into surgical patient care to achieve better outcomes through a less invasive approach.
